There are three game aspects referred to by the game as "bonus." These are:

  • The live "rank" bonus. This provides a boost to one random attribute (HP, Atk, DEF, AGI, or LUC) during a run. This boost is determined by comparing your current level during this run with other active players. The higher your relative ranking, the more of a boost you get, up to 15%. Unfortunately, very little is known about either how the ranking is actually determined, or how exactly the bonus is applied to your final attribute score. The only important thing to know is that once you have the recovery necklace, the only bonus worth playing with is the ATK Bonus. If Once you hit the level requirement to see what bonus applies to this run, If it isn't ATK, and you're not just farming something lower level, just retry until you get the ATK bonus.

Area Bonuses[]

  • Any area can have an area bonus spawn on it, affecting your battles in that area, lasting for the number indicated between the parentheses ().
  • There are basically 2 types of area bonuses. Regular ones, which modify the outcome of a battle in some way, and the special ones, which spawn special enemies, and even transport you elsewhere.
  • Except for the very first area and map, Bonuses are never spawned until after you have had at least one battle in that map.
  • The following are all the area bonuses:
MONEY X2 Modifies final money total by 200%.
MONEY X3 Modifies final money total by 300%.
MONEY X4 Modifies final money total by 400%. Appears after TimesPlayed 5 only.
MONEY X7 Modifies final money total by 700%. Appears after TimesPlayed 7 only.
EXP X1.5 Modifies final XP total by 150% (Normal Mode only).
EXP X2 Modifies final XP total by 200%.
EXP X3 Modifies final XP total by 300% (Hard Mode only. Replaces "EXP X1.5" bonus).
+ Combo & Crit Increases Combo Chance, Critical Chance and Critical Damage by a medium amount.
Enemy ATK x0.5 All encountered enemies have their ATK modified by 50%, including bosses.
Enemy HP x0.5 All encountered enemies have their HP modified by 50%, including bosses.
??? Special monster spawns, providing either special items or gold
! 24% Chance to encounter Lucifer. Defeat its light form to enter white bonus area, with enemies that drop exclusive items.
!!! 26% Chance to encounter Oculus of Providence. Defeat its light form to enter the black bonus area, with enemies that drop exclusive items.
!? 26% chance to encounter Tsukuyomi, the gate to Crystal area. Only available on lv37777 Chaos Grid.

(???) Bonus[]

A (???) bonus can trigger either of the 3 Groups of (???) mobs to appear. If you encounter a Bonus monster from either Group, only this one Group will be available to encounter while this (???) bonus lasts. All of the monsters from this drop list have either rare items that cannot be acquired elsewhere, or may have a high gold reward:

  • 40% chance to spawn the monsters
  • Group A are the Succubi, that drop some of the best, and worst, accessories in the game, most important being the recovery necklace. The picture for the first one got removed from this wiki, probably because it shows a bare butt, lol.

  • Group B are the Money holders, they can greatly help in unlocking expensive buyables like Accessory Slots.
  • The Wiki's data has the wrong information for the gold drops here, but I don't know how to fix it or what the correct values are.

(!) White Bonus Area[]

  • 24% Chance to encounter Lucifer. Defeat the light form of it to enter the bonus area.
  • To encounter the light form, you need to have collected 37 weapons in Normal Mode, and 66 weapons in Hard Mode.
  • You will have 1-5 turns in the area as an automatic (!) bonus, unless you use the glitch to stay.
  • The mobs are around the difficulty of the Goddesses in Normal Mode, and Heaven lv 54000 to 70000 area in Hard Mode.
  • This area has some of the best item drops in the game as well as fantastic gold drop rewards:
    • Vital accessories, the stat point crystal and stat point crystal+1, which are totally indispensable for late hard mode progression.
    • 3 Weapons, including the second most powerful in the game, the Longinus/Holy Lance +1, which is actually the most powerful weapon you can get without cheating.
    • The second most powerful armor in the game, and quite possibly the most powerful armor you can get without cheating, the Aegis+1 armor.

(!!!) Black Bonus Area[]

  • 26% Chance to encounter Oculus of Providence. Defeat the light form of it to enter the bonus area.
  • To encounter the light form, you need to have collected 19 weapons (or 12 armors) in Normal Mode and 51 weapons (or 26 armors) in Hard Mode.
  • You will have 1-5 turns in the area as an automatic (!!!) bonus, unless you use the glitch to stay.
  • Unfortunately, about 1/3 of your encounters in here will be with "the Gool," the last enemy in the list, which gives no drops and almost no gold.
  • There are 4 'decent' Weapons, 1 Armor and all +4 stat gems to get from the Monoliths. They are pretty easy to kill as well.
  • In Hard mode, You can acquire the accessory "proof of the hero," The single most powerful accessory in the entire game. By a long shot.

On-Screen "Bonus" Button[]

The "Bonus" button on the top of your screen has two functions:

1. Daily Bonus Activator[]

Activating it will spawn random area bonuses across all areas on your current map. Generated Bonuses from this option can last up to 6 turns. Warning: areas occupied by a current bonus will not receive a new bonus.

You originally have 5 uses of this option per day, and a maximum of 2 per run. The total available can be increased by:

  • Rating the game (from Settings menu): gives you an additional usage of the Daily Bonus per run.
  • Tweeting about the game (from Statistics menu): gives you an additional 6th bonus to use per day.
  • (those might be outdated...)

2. Daily Money Bonus[]

The Daily Money Bonus button can only be hit once per day and gives you an accumulative amount of Gold for every day you have used it; use it every day! As you can only use it once per day, it's best to use it on a run where you really need it. Although, the amount it provides is so low that it soon becomes totally worthless.
