The Play Gems Edit

The Play Gems are a particular type of Stat Modifier Accessories that give your character Attribute Points (AP) in ATK, DEF and AGI (Play Gems give no more bonus on HP and LUC) based on the number of times you have played the game. The number of times you have played the game is called "GameOver count".

The game will add 1 to your GameOver count every time you finish your Battle Points (BP) during a playthrough, in normal or hard difficulty without difference.

There are currently 3 Play Gems in the game:

Play Gem Edit

Normal Mode
Item2 44 Play Gem (Id: 44)
Stacks ATKx3, DEFx3, AGIx3 increase by depending on the times played\Critical will no longer occur

The Play Gem Gives 3 Attribute points in ATK, DEF and AGI for every unit of GameOver count. It can be purchased in the shop for 7.000g. Not dropped by any monster. This is a very weak accessory compared to the others in the same category, and is therefore to be replaced with more powerful accessories when possible.

The Play Gem +2 is currently the most powerful of the Play Gems. Its power is comparable to the power of the +5 attribute gems when you have a GameOver count in the 500-1000 range, but it can become much more powerful if your GameOver count is high enough.

The GameOver count does not affect the droprate calculations anymore Edit

In pre-1.3.2 versions of the game, the GameOver count also affected the droprate calculations, very slightly lowering your chances of dropping items when the count went up. In version 1.3.2 and onward the droprate calculations are not affected by the GameOver count anymore, and therefore there is no drawback when you decide to push your GameOver count up to increase the Play Gems power.

Increasing the GameOver count legitimally takes a lot of time Edit

If your typical playthrough lasts 30 minutes, increasing the GameOver count to a decent level (500-1000) will take away 250-500 hours of your life. You may get tired of the game before this point, or simply do not have so much free time.

The purpose of this guide is to give you a method to increase your GameOver count very very quickly.

Requirements Edit

1) Inst Encounter Ring (sold for 80,000g in the shop) equipped

Normal Mode
Item2 33 Inst Encounter Ring (Id: 33)
NoStack Enables instant encounters

2) Bad (yes) weapon & armor equipped. The starting weapon and armor will be perfect

Normal Mode
Item0 0 1: Dagger (Id: 0)
(+5/100%)
Normal Mode
Item1 0 1: Leather Armor (Id: 0)
(+5/100%)

3) No Gem or any other accessory that can make you substantially more powerful equipped

Play Gems are not required but of course you have no reason to use this method if you have no Play Gems or do not plan to use or drop any Play Gems.

You do not need to have rooted your device to use this method (everyone can use it).

THE METHOD Edit

1) Start a New Game. Select any character and Hard Mode Difficulty.

2) Push the "ENCOUNTER" button you see between the "BONUS" and the "MENU" buttons. An enemy will appear. Die. Your Battle Points (BP) will now decrease from 10 to 5.

Optional tip: if you know where the "ENCOUNTER" button will appear and tap on the corresponding area of the screen immediately after pressing the "Hard" difficulty button, you will start a game with an enemy already waiting for you. See "Optional tips" section for details.
3) Repeat step 2. Your Battle Points (BP) will now decrease from 5 to 0 and you will be taken to the Game Over screen. You will now be asked if you want to Register on the Leaderboard. Press "NO". Then Press "TITLE" and close the ad that pops up.
Optional tip: in your device "Settings" activate "Flight Mode". This way, the game will not be able to offer you ads anymore, and you will only have to close a simple empty window when the ad would pop up. See "Optional tips" section for details.
4) Repeat steps 1-2-3 until you have no more Hard Mode Lives available. It is not necessary to close the game before going to the next step.

5) Go to your device "Settings" and choose "Date and Time". Uncheck the "Automatic Date and Time", then set the time manually by adding 2 hours and press "Ok" to confirm. For example, if it's 10:50, add 2 hours to trick your device into thinking it's 12:50 (yes, it's as simple as this). Oddly enough, subtracting 1 or 2 hours (09:50 or 08:50) and some other time manipulations will also work, for reasons that have to do with how the game is written.

MASTER MODE (IMPORTANT): keep the Inflation RPG app and your device Date and Time Settings always running. When you use one, the other will be running in the background. This way you can go from the game to the Date and Time Settings and from the Date and Time Settings to the game very very quickly. You will effectively receive new Hard Mode lives even if the game is running! This tip will speed-up the whole method considerably. See "Optional tips" section for details.
6) If you have closed the game (closing the game while following the method is not necessary), re-open it. You will see that you have 10 Hard Mode Lives again! You can now repeat steps 1-2-3-4. After this you can add 2 hours to set the time of your device again as explained in step 5, and repeat these steps again and again without limits until you are satisfied or bored.

7) When you are done, don't forget to go back to your device Date and Time Settings and re-check the "Automatic Date and Time". Input the correct time manually if you do not have a connection. De-activate "Flight Mode" in case you have activated it (see "Optional tips" section for details).

Optional tips Edit

Master mode (IMPORTANT) Edit

While following the method, keep the Inflation RPG app and your device Date and Time Settings always running. When you use one, the other will be running in the background. This way you can go from the game to the Date and Time Settings and from the Date and Time Settings to the game very very quickly and the method will still work perfectly, because you will effectively receive new Hard Mode lives even if the game is running! This tip will speed-up the whole method considerably so it is important that you learn how it works.

Optional tip 1 Edit

After picking your character and choosing the difficulty (Hard), the game will load. if you know where the "ENCOUNTER" button will appear and tap on the corresponding area of the screen immediately after pressing the "Hard" difficulty button, you will start a game with an enemy already waiting for you. The "ENCOUNTER" button will appear in the area of the screen under the letters "Di" of "Difficulty" of the difficulty selection screen. If you don't time this carefully you may experience graphical issues and it will be difficult to understand what is going on. The game may rarely even crash. If done correctly, tapping on the "ENCOUNTER" button before it appears will allow you to save around 1 second every Game Over run, but if you see you can't time this perfectly and you are wasting more time than what you are gaining, just avoid this tip.

Optional tip 2 Edit

Before beginning your Gave Over run, you can go to your device "Settings" and activate "Flight Mode". This will make the game unable to offer you ads anymore. So when going from the Game Over screen to the Title screen, a simple, easy to close empty window will pop up instead of the usual advertisement. This will allow you to save around 1 second every Game Over run. Warning! Activating "Flight Mode" will completely disable your connection and your ability to send and receive texts or phone calls, so be aware of this when you decide to activate it.

The results Edit

Using this method, you can aquire 10 Game Overs in around 3 minutes, and 100 Game Overs in around 30 minutes (100 times faster than the typical speed).

With only 30 minutes every day you can make 500 Game Overs in 5 days or 1000 Game Overs In 10 days. You can theorically make much more Game Overs if you decide to put more time into this.

You can see the results of this by pushing "STATISTICS" in the Title Screen. In the upper right corner you will see "TIMES PLAYED" followed by a number. This is the number checked by the game to assign the power to the Play Gems (Play Gem: GameOver count x 3 to all Stats; PlayGem +1: GameOver count x 17 to all Stats; PlayGem +2: GameOver count x 41 to all Stats).

With three Play Gem +2 equipped and 1000 x GameOver count you will gain 120,000 Atk, 120,000 Def, 90,000 Agi, plus Character Level and Player Level (CLv+PLv) Bonuses.

Think of what you can do with 10,000 x GameOver count (doable in only 50 hours).
